Terry Wilkins

Professor Terry Wilkins has 32 years industrial (GE and ICI) and 9 years academic experience (Leeds University) as an innovator in the nanotechnology, medical device, biotechnology and advanced materials industries. His first commercial success was a nanoparticle radioimmunoassay for thyroid diseases launched in 1982 yielding many € billions of sales. The invention lives on for the early detection of prostate cancer. He has 8 prizes, awards and medal for novel engineering science with high socioeconomic impact. He is Europe’s first professor of Nanomanufacturing. His research ranges over:

  • Nanomedicine;
  • Industrial nanomaterials;
  • Nanoelectronics;
  • EHS risks of engineered nanoparticles;
  • Management and policy making for added emergent technology manufacturing;
