About the course
The ESRIC Super-Resolution Summer School will run from the 8th until the 12th of August 2016 at Heriot-Watt University in partnership with our sister-institute The Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine, The University of Edinburgh.

Feedback from previous years has been over-whelming and so the Super-Resolution Summer School will run in a similar format to past years with the first few days dedicated to learning the theory of the super-resolution techniques from world-experts in developing and applying these techniques. This will be followed by 3 days of practical workshops with the leading microscopy manufacturers.

We have a few exciting new changes this year, implemented thanks to some very insightful feedback from our delegates, this includes:

  • A bitesize workshop session to cover more in-depth sample preparation, data processing and learn about new techniques
  • More networking opportunities focused around participants research
  • A rolling admission process, with the first selection of applicants at the end of February, the second round at the end of March with a final round at the end of April. There is no quota for each round and delegates will be selected based on their letter of motivation and application, this does mean it is very possible the course will fill up within the first round so you need to get in quick!
